The Akalite who hails from Isiozi-Akah Autonomous Community made this call last week in a brief chat with Umuaka Times correspondent in America on the security and insecurity situation in Umuaka and Njaba LGA generally.<\/p>\n<p>From the advocacies and recommendations of the US based Akalite who did not want his name mentioned, market men and women and other stakeholders in Umuaka Municipal Council need to hold a joint meeting with other relevant bodies and come up with a blueprint on how and when to start the installations.<\/p>\n<p>It can be recalled that several criminal activities including kidnapping, hostage taking and armed robbery have taken place within the Afor Umuaka axis in the last couple of years. From the views of the advocate, &#8220;if we had CCTV coverage in Afor Umuaka, criminal activities in the area would be minimal,&#8221; he told Umuaka Times.<\/p>\n<p>Following the discussions Umuaka Times had with the Akalite, he did not only advocate for the installation of CCTV in Umuaka but he went further to recommend the areas the cameras would be mounted. First according to him, will be at the entrance of Hilltop Primary School, followed by Duruji International School axis.<\/p>\n<p>Other areas he mentioned were the former Umuaka round about, St Mary&#8217;s Catholic Church gate, Ugbele Road by A-Line, Amiyi Road, Umuaka Unity Park and many other strategic areas within the market environment.
