Mr Chiedozie Egbule, the president of Celdors Limited spoke with Umuaka Times recently about the programs of the financial institution which has impacted on the people in many ways.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tell us why the rewarding program of Celdors was founded.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The greatest problem of a man isn’t his inability to make money but his inability to save part of this money for the rainy days… The institution was formed to encourage savings among the people through daily thrift collection.<\/p>\n

We observed that during Christmas, most parents find it very hard to put food especially rice on the table for their children thereby making their children to be looking at the children of the rich as unique children, This, we observed also\u00a0 causes inferiority complex in the children. So we thought about this and introduced a system whereby these parents can comfortably contribute N100 on daily basis from their daily income.<\/p>\n

So what happens after the contribution?<\/strong><\/p>\n

On every 19th December of every year, the institution provides these families with Christmas gifts like 50kg bag of rice, live chicken, stockfish, a carton of tomatoes and a bottle of groundnut oil.<\/p>\n

This is amazing indeed. Please how do the rising market forces affect this program?<\/strong><\/p>\n

This has been the items we do supply to these families but due to the economic situation of the country, we decided to adjust in the products delivered in two\u00a0 packages: Bronze package is where you contribute N100 for 12 months and get the following packages a 50kg bag of rice, a carton of tomato, a bottle of groundnut oil and a live broiler chicken.<\/p>\n

The premium package is where you contribute N150 daily for 12months and get all in bronze package plus a medium size peak milk, medium size Milo, stockfish and10 sachets of spaghetti.<\/p>\n

When did Celdors start operations in Umuaka?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The institution started in July 2010 and has been operational for over 10 years now.<\/p>\n

The Christmas package was launched in 2015 and has existed for 5 years now.<\/p>\n

How do you safeguard these contributions?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The stakeholders of this great institution have put measures on ground to see that nothing happens to people’s contributions saved with the institution and also measures are always put to ensure that all contributors get what they contributed for, without a complain. We are doing the work of God at Celdors.<\/p>\n
