<\/p>\nThe Executive Director and founder, Onwa Foundation and Orphanage Homes, Chief Nwuke Fidelis, the Onwa 1of Amakor has floated a football club in Umuaka Njaba LGA Imo State. Chief Nwuke who disclosed this in a brief interview with the Umuaka Times correspondent in Germany confirmed that the club has already started aggressive training at the premises of Hilltop Primary School Uba Umuaka in order to prepare for Christmas football contests in the state.<\/p>\n
On why he dived into sports, the Onwa of Amakor who has done a lot of humanitarian works in and outside Imo State told Umuaka Times that the reason behind the move was to contribute his quota in the discovery and promotion of\u00a0 football talents in Umuaka and the state in general.<\/p>\n

When Umuaka Times spoke with Mr Charles Okoro, the team manager and Mr Fela, the coach of the FC, both of them confirmed that they have since begun intensive training since the last 30 days.<\/p>\n

Mr Okoro and Coach Fela used the opportunity and appealed to the sports loving Akalites and non- Akalites who wish to contribute towards the cause of making the team a great one across the state. For now according to what Umuaka Times gathered, admission to footballers to the team is exclusively open to Akalites and will later be made open as the group grows bigger.<\/p>\n
