1990 Queens mourns as member is buried.

An old girls association of Girls Secondary Technical School Umuaka known as 1990 Queens has been thrown into deep mourning as her member Queen Mrs Eziadaugo Anna Ndidi Ekemezie (nee Odinkanwa) lost her life in a tragic circumstance while on active duty.
The woman according to the group was shot dead by a stray bullet while carrying out an immunization exercise to some children in Njaba LGA.
In a telephone conversation between the president of the group and Umuaka Times correspondents in London, former Miss Jacqueline Ugorji the president of the old girls confirmed that the deceased who graduated with them in 1990 lost her life at the age of 55. She disclosed that the group is totally pained by the sudden death of the late Eziada Anna Ndidi Ekemezie. The members of the old girls association around the world have been sending their condolences to the bereaved family.
A press statement Umuaka Times obtained from the group which was signed by Mr Nnodim Joseph Ekemezie states that on Monday 16 June 2025, a Christian wakes night will hold for the repose of her soul in her husband’s compound at Ugbele Okwu in Ugbele Akah Autonomous Community. On Tuesday 17 June 2025, her remains will leave the mortuary of Umuaka Community Hospital to her home town Ugbele Okwu for lying in state. This will hold by 8 am. The lying in state will commence by 8:30 am and will last till 9:30 am when her body will be taken to St Joseph’s Catholic Church Ugbele Akah for a requiem Mass. Immediately after the Mass, her interment follows at her husband compound in Ugbele Okwu kindred.
Acording to a statement from the 1990 Queens, the late Anna Ndidi Ekemezie was a devout Christian mother and a staunch member of 1990 Queens Old Girls Association of Girls Technical School Umuaka Njaba LGA Imo State.
