8 nursing students graduate from Sancta Maria Hospital.

A total number of 8 students from Sancta Maria Hospital located in Obinwanne Umuaka Autonomous Community on Wednesday 23 April 2025 graduated in flying colours after a two year program in nursing. The graduation ceremony which drew the presence of family and friends of the graduating students to the event was held in the premises of the health institution amidst happy families who cheered their graduating children.
Present during the event among other dignitaries included Chief Mike Igbokwuwe, High Chief Celestine Agu (Ekwe Mbiriba Umuaka) and the proprietor of the hospital HRM Eze Justin Ezeala whose presence added a lot of colours to the event.
During his speech presentation, the Onye Eze thanked the students for their resilience and appealed to them to remain focused and serious in their careers as the lives of many people will now be trusted in their hands.
Chief Celestine Agu, the Traditional Prime Minister of Obinwanne who was the chairman of the event also thanked the graduating students and urged them to put in practice all that they have learnt from the school. He eventually prayed to God to continue to bless them and the Sancta Maria Hospital as well.
The graduating students who came with their families and friends received their certificates of graduation from the Obinwanne monarch who also took photographs with them after a royal handshake.
Umuaka Times gathered that currently, the Sancta Maria Hospital has 23 students who are reading nursing. The 2025 graduation ceremony of the health facility is the fifth time of students’ graduation of the hospital.
