Gen Egwuogu tasks Ndi Igbo on Igbo language.

Rtd. Gen Kalu Egwuogu has appealed to Igbo citizens across the globe to respect and value the use of Igbo language in any environment they find themselves. The Rtd General disclosed this information when a reporter from Umuaka Times called on him last week for a brief interview.
Rtd General Kanu Egwuagu who is contesting to represent Imo West at the Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria under the Social Democratic Party SDP, reminded the Igbo people that it is only found among them across the country where an Igbo brother meets another Igbo brother in any public or private office and they both start a conversation in English language.
The General strongly condemned this development and appealed to Igbo citizens across Nigerian and beyond to always promote their Igboness. On further discussion between Umuaka Times and the General, he tasked Igbo stakeholders to continue to educate “our people” on the need for the use of Igbo language among Igbo citizens.
Perhaps the attitude of today’s parents who refuse to teach their children is the greatness heart-break the General has found among the Igbo. He condemned the act in outright terms and appeared to parents who engage in such deprivation to desist from such.
While concluding his message, Gen Egwuagu told the Umuaka Times reporter to always hold talks with him in Igbo language whenever they engage him on conversations.
