The 2004 born former student of Sancta Theresa Primary and Secondary School Amurie Omanze also hails from Amurie Omanze. He has from his infancy loved football with all his heart. Last week, the football star who plays both left and right wings discussed a lot about his football career with Umuaka Times. First, Uzochi who currently plays for Father Eburuaja FC disclosed to Umuaka Times that the famous Eburuaja FC is his first club after he left secondary school where he also played for the school team.
On the ability of the club and brilliant performances of the club over the years, Uzochi described the Eburuaja FC as one of the football clubs across Nigeria of today making great football impact nationally. He described the success of the FC as miraculous and good football training and dedication by the players and the coach Dike Uchechukwu Kenneth.
On his love for football and why he has chosen to make a career out of football, Uzochi had this to tell the world. “I like football because I see it as my dream or talent. Every morning I wake up and all I can think about is football.”
Despite the hard training the members of the Eburuaja FC undergo every week, Uzochi also disclosed to Umuaka Times the source of his motivation towards soccer. “Seeing my idol (Christiano Ronaldo) play, it motivates me to do better because football brings us together as a nation. It unites our race together and seeing other kids out there play at a very young age, I see failure as an unacceptable excuse.”
Still talking about how the Eburuaja FC rose to number 1 position in Imo State to engage with some football clubs like Imo Heartland FC, Uzochi described that as a dream come true. According to him, nobody took them seriously at the meginning and that motivated their manager who did even the impossible and made sure that his boys would get to number one position in the state. “At the beginning, no one believed
In time to come, Uzochi intends to go professional and play for his dream FC, the one and only Real Madrid of Spain.
His final wish: “I will keep working hard and train under my manager, till I get to the top because giving up on my dream is never an option”.
