Ezinne Mary Duruonyeoma Nwachukwu for burial on Jan 10.

The family of late Chief Patrick Akalazu Duruonyeoma Nwachukwu in Umuduruofor Isiozi-Akah Njaba LGA has announced the passage of her mother, wife, sister, grandmother and great grandmother Ezinne Lolo Mary Duruonyeoma Nwachukwu nee Orjiwuru.

This information was contained in a press statement signed by Chief Eddy Nwachukwu which Umuaka Times correspondents in Germany obtained from one of the children of the late Ezinne, Mr Victor Naka Nwachukwu from his base in Germany.

According to the report filed by the German correspondents of Umuaka Times, the burial arrangements and program for the late devoted Christian mother has been released.

On Thursday 9 January 2025, a wake-keep and service of songs will be held for the repose of her soul in her husband’s family compound known as Duruonyeoma Nwachukwu compound in Isiozi- Akah. This event kicks off by 8 pm.

The following day being Friday 10 January 2025, by 7 am, the remains of the late Ezinne Lolo Mary Duruonyeoma Nwachukwu will leave Aladimma Mortuary in a motorcade to the family compound in Isiozi –Akah.

By 8 am, the lying-in state will kick off in the family compound for people to pay their last respect to the deceased.

By 10 am, a requiem Mass will be celebrated for the soul of the late Ezinne at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Isiozi-Akah.

Immediately after the Requiem Mass, internment will follow in her family compound by 12 midday.

Reception and entertainment of guests according to the press statement will be held at Riverside Primary School Isiozi Akah.

There will be a thanksgiving Mass at St Patrick’s Catholic Church Isiozi Akah by 9 am on Sunday 12 January 2025.

During her lifetime, Ezinne Lolo Mary Duruonyeoma Nwachukwu nee Orjiwuru was a devoted Christian mother and a top community leader among the womenfolk. She died at the age of 97 years.
