Joe Blaze Nnaemeka Akanazu receives his Umuaka Times Award.

The Umuaka Times winner of the Most Influential Poet of the Year Award Mr Joe Blaze Nnaemeka Akanazu has received his award. The event which took place at the Jubilee Hall of Assumpta Cathedral Owerri took place on January 8, 2025 during the launching of his book Soul and Spirit Poetry of the Heart. The award which was presented to him by Professor John Cliff Nwadike, the Imo State Commissioner for Education was the first and only award the book has so far won.
Before making the presentation, Professor Nwadike held the award and said, “Nnaemeka this is a very big achievement. The book we are about to unveil has already won an award. This book will go places.”
After making the comment, the honourable commissioner presented the award on behalf of the people at the event and handed it over to Joe Blaze Nnaemeka Akanazu.
Nnaemeka thanked everyone and went into photo session with some selected dignitaries at the event.
