2 min readHonourable Chimezie Ehirim, an Achara born high profile businessman, silent philanthropist and the CEO of De Lemon Grove Hotel has described the royal father of Obinwanne Umuaka Autonomous Community, HRM Eze Justin Uzoma Ezeala as God’s gift to Umuaka Ebe Iri. Hon. Ehirim made this disclosure last week in an exclusive interview with the local affairs correspondents of Umuaka Times who paid him a courtesy visit as a part of the familiarization tour of the newspaper at De Lemon Grove Hotel in Achara community.
While holding talks during the visit, the young CEO who described himself as a strong believer and practitioner of grassroots human development empowerment programs told Umuaka Times that he has always been thrilled by the kind gesture of the Obinwanne monarch towards his immediate community and Umuaka town at large.
“You see, Onye Eze has always been there even before he became a monarch. I have keenly followed all his programs, sense of judgment, speeches and activities from the pages of Umuaka Times and I concluded that HRM Eze Justin Ezeala is a gift from God to the entire Umuaka.”
On Umuaka Times Royal Father of the Year Award which is anchored by Umuaka Times newspapers, Honourable Ehirim had this to say:
“Please if I am wrong correct me, Onye Eze has won that award for about 4 times now and he remains the only eze so far that has won it. As I see it, he will continue to win the award because I can see the finger of God in all his activities.”
On the various development programs in Obinwanne, the Honourable gave the people of Obinwanne a big pass mark for the unequivocal support and love they have shown and continued to show to the royal father.
While commenting on the role of royal fathers in a community, the honourable further stated that time has gone when the role of royal fathers was just to act as the “custodians of the culture”. “Today, things have changed, our royal fathers have a lot to do but don’t forget that each of them needs our support. Eze Nwanne has shown the path, let other royal fathers emulate in any capacity they can and we their subjects will always be ready to offer our collective support.”
Conclusively, Ehirim appealed to the men and women of Umuaka with solid means to come together and create an endowment fund on how to move Umuaka forward. He also used the opportunity and appealed to Akalites to bring home their investments and create jobs for the youths.
