Ogueri Chidomere elected president of Unique-85.

Captain Cris Ogueri Chidomere, a member of 1985 set of students who graduated from Umuaka High School has been elected the president of Unique-85 Association, the 1985 set of old boys from High School Umuaka.
Chidomere who shared the news with Umuaka Times correspondents in London early last week disclosed that the election that brought him and some other members of the group to office was held online on Monday 27 January 2025.
Other members of the organization who were also elected to work with Captain Chidomere include Chief Festus Ndy Chinyere (Eziokwu Eji Aga Mba 1 of Amayi Akah), vice president. Sir Austin Dike, secretary general, Engineer Chinedu Onyejelam financial secretary, Hon. Beniah Okpananne, PRO and Evangelist Innocent Duru, treasurer.
In his acceptance speech, Captain Chidomere thanked his fellow classmates on behalf of other elected officials for the honourable assignment they have placed on their shoulders and further assured them that he and his team would make the organization proud at the end of their tenure through a responsive and responsible leadership.
Captain Cris Ogueri Chidomere took over from Mr. Nixon Uzoma, the immediate past president of the association. It is expected that by January 2027, the organization will conduct a fresh election when the current Chidomere tenure must have come to an end.
