Last Sunday being 18 May 2025, friends and well-wishers gathered at Number 17 Ishola Bello Street Ojodu Berger to witness the grand opening of Prince Ator Hotel and Suites. When Umuaka Times local reporters arrived at the venue of the event, many guests including those from public and the organized public sector had already seated and were watching the events as they unfolded one after the other.

From the look of things, many people who came from several parts of Lagos and the country were at the event to witness the grand opening and reception of guests at the newest hotel in town. Each person was so thrilled by what the management of the hotel had in stock for her guests. Entertainers such as comedians, singers, traditional music dancers and many others were taking their turns to thrill the audience according to the program of events.  By 5:55 pm on the dot, the master of the ceremonies announced that it was time to perform the tape cutting ritual in order to declare the hotel open. One of the top personalities who graced the occasion, Mr Ben Okoye, a German based businessman was called to perform the take cutting ritual. Some high profile personalities were also called to witness the tape cutting segment. In less than 5 minutes, the tape cutting segment was carried out and all the people chorused a loud amen and extended clapping of hands.

As the people witnessed this amazing segment of the event, another phase was ushered in almost immediately by the master of the ceremony. This phase included cultural dance and some performances by a few Afrobeats artistes who entertained the guests.

Umuaka Times reporters can convincingly declare that the opening of Prince Ator Hotel and Suites at Ojodu Berger was a huge success. This was confirmed when the CEO of the entertainment and hospitality facility, Prince Arthur Meremikwu had a brief interview with Umuaka Times. The young CEO disclosed that the guests who attended the event were more than his expectation. He used the opportunity and thanked all who came from Imo State, Lagos, Ogun State and many other parts of the country.
