The overall women leader of Obinwanne town Mrs Florence Orisakwe has prayed and asked God to continue to bless the Executive Director of Women’s Crisis Centre WCC, Ms Lesley Chinwe Agams over the unconditional love she has for Umuaka.
When an Umuaka Times reporter visited Mrs Orisakwe over the ongoing N50,000 empowerment program for Umuaka women who are into SME, a program initiated by the Lesley Agams-led WCC and funded by Open Society Institute for West Africa OSIWA, Mrs Orisakwe was so happy over the program and immediately knelt down and prayed for Lesley Agams. She asked God to continue to bless Agams with good health, beautiful cash flow mechanism and sound reasoning including long life.
Mrs Orisakwe told Umuaka Times that Umuaka people are so lucky and blessed that God beautified and blessed the town with people like Mrs Lesley Agams. “If we have people like her 2, this town would have been more developed than what we have today.”
Since Lesley Agams brought down the headquarters of her NGO known as Women’s Crisis Centre to Umuaka, many families, women and girls have benefited immensely through her initiative.
