Miss Pamela Iberosi, the daughter of Mr Thaddeus Iberosi from Uba Umuaka is someone anyone who understands the power of women in the turn of this century would be interested to hail her inspiring feat and efforts. The amiable lady, who is into the mechanism of creativity and self-expression, studied Public Administration at the University of Nigeria Nsukka is today a content creator whose social media image is gathering momentum almost on daily basis through visuals, storytelling and connecting with people of like minds online.

While holding talks with Umuaka Times in a recent interview, disclosed that she started her content creation during the Covid19 era a couple of years ago.  Describing the damage covid19 caused in the world during the pandemic, Miss Pamela Iberosi said, “I was sad and somewhat depressed because this was the first time in my life I experienced something like this that would keep the entire world on a standstill.”

Umuaka Times gathered that the Covid19 “sit-at-home” order created a new Pamela from the original Pamela. Hear her; “As time went on during Covid19, I discovered my love for make-up and I also discovered the almighty YouTube digital platform. I started watching other creators and I loved what they do and I knew I could do same. So I was inspired.”

After this amazing discovery, Pamela started sharing parts of her world, beauty, hair, lifestyle and the little things that make her feel inspired on the internet. This move was all that it took to catapult the young girl to prominence and serious social media engagements; this move grew into something bigger more than what she expected. Pamela created a niche which gives her the opportunity to collaborate with brands, tell authentic stories and reach people who relate to her. In her own words, “I realized content creation could be both expressive and impactful.”

From the submissions of Miss Pamela Iberosi, content creation could be fun but not as easy as it looks to the outside world. “There’s a lot of planning, shooting, editing and sometimes redoing everything when things don’t go as planned. But it’s rewarding when you see people connect with your works or when a brand trusts you to represent them.”

On those who listen to her and follow her on her social media handle, she disclosed to Umuaka Times that, “I have a diverse audience, from different backgrounds, cultures and race connect with me and honestly it more than I could ever imagine. It also taught me patience, discipline, and how to constantly evolve creatively.”

On the abuse of social media content creations by some Nigerians, Pamela told Umuaka Times thus: “I wouldn’t say “abuse,” Nigerians are just very expressive and quick to catch on to trends. Some people definitely take shortcuts or misuse the space, but that happens everywhere, not just in Nigeria. What I love, though, is how Nigerians bring humour, creativity, and boldness to everything. We make the internet come alive.”

Those who follow Pamela on social media are aware that her niche includes mostly beauty, hair, and lifestyle. “I love creating content that feels authentic, from hair transformations and skincare routines to little lifestyle snippets that show my personality. It’s all about realness and creativity for me.”

While advising Nigerians who take pride in beauty, the content creator advised lovers of beauty and beauty products to always go for what works for them.

“It’s about understanding what works for you. Beauty should be about you. Nigerians have such rich skin tones, unique features, and bold personalities, so instead of chasing trends that don’t fit us, we should focus on enhancing what we already have.”

On medical care she advised: “Also, take care of your skin, drink water and use products that suit our weather and skin types not just what’s trending online. And please, remember that beauty starts with confidence. No amount of make-up or filters can replace how you feel about yourself. At the end of the day, beauty should be fun, expressive, and authentic not stressful.”

The graduate of Public Administration from the University of Nigeria Nsukka whose handle is @thepamelaib on Instagram regrets that people don’t see the chaos behind the scenes of social media content creation, but they only see the glow, the transitions and the flawless lighting in the finished videos. The time, effort, and inventiveness required to create content never seem to stop. “You are the editor, the director, the stylist, the videographer, the planner, and occasionally even your own hype woman. It goes beyond simply sharing lovely photos. You must maintain consistency, comprehend your audience, stay current with trends, and never compromise on who you are. The algorithm will try your patience on some days. On other days, despite your fatigue, you continue to work hard because you have deadlines or team projects to complete. It’s emotionally and mentally taxing, and it’s difficult to constantly expose yourself for criticism or misunderstanding.”
