Santa Maria welcomes Umuaka Municipal Council PG.
1 min readThe President-General of Umuaka Municipal Council, Chief Noel Okezuo Oguike, last week paid an official visit to Santa Maria Secondary School in the Umuaka Municipal Council of Njaba LGA Imo State. Chief Oguike who was accompanied by the publisher of Umuaka Times, Darlington Ojy Onwukwe arrived at the school by some minutes after 2pm on the eventful day.
After the normal greetings and introduction, the team was introduced to the principal of the school Rev Father Echefu Stanley who displayed his happy state of mind for the visit and took the PG round where the students were holding their inter-class competition and talent hunt.
The President-General encouraged the students and urged them to be serious with their books and avoid social vices.
According to the principal, the interclass talent hunt competition was mainly focused on football. So far, the girls in SS3A defeated the girls in SS2B4-1 while the boys in SS2B defeated the boys in SS3A2-1.
The games started on Wednesday last week and will run for a period of two weeks.
