N1m donation: Umuawaha women share cash, pray for Dennis Ezeigbo.

The bright event of Thursday May 7, 2020 was a great day the women of Umuawaha kindred in Uba Umuaka may never forget in a hurry. On the eventful day, one of their illustrious sons, Chief Dennis Uzoma Ezeigbo, an American based frontline philanthropist blessed each of the women with the sum of N10,000.The reason for this was to assist the women make ends meet under the Coronavirus. The lockdown and the fear of the spread of the virus in the community has led to widespread hunger and social disorganization in the community. A couple of days ago, Umuaka Times reported that Chief Ezigbo has made a donation of N1 million for the entire Umuawaha women to demonstrate his own love and personal palliative to the women.
By 8 am of Thursday May 7, 2020, the women had started arriving for their share of the money. Already, Mr. Chibu Ezeigbo, a younger brother to Chief Dennis Ezeigbo had perfected plans on the effective disbursement of the funds. This enabled him and some other volunteers to settle each woman almost immediately she arrived and she would then leave. The reason for this Chibu Ezeigbo explained, was to maintain the social distancing order. “The disbursement was so effective that at no time did more than four women gathered together at the event,” he told Umuaka Times.
Ezinne Rosaline Udeagwu, chairlady of Umuezikeachazie women, was very happy after receiving her own cash. She asked God to bless Chief Dennis Ezeigbo and his entire family with good health, long life and more wealth. The chairlady used the opportunity and instructed the beneficiaries to leave the scene immediately they receive their cash gifts.
Mrs. Antonia Duru, who described herself as the wife of Koloja, expressed her happiness also towards the kind gesture of Chief Ezeigbo. She prayed that God will continue to provide for him and his family for remembering the sufferings the women are going through in this Covid19 era.
As an Akalite whose philanthropy knows no bounds, Umuaka Times observed that Chief Ezeigbo also enlisted some names from other kindreds to benefit from the palliative. According to him, “It is not only the Umuawaha people that need help, others also need it.” One of the persons from other kindreds who benefited from the philanthropy was Mr. Niger Oguike, a retired teacher. While speaking to the Umuaka Times correspondent who covered the event, Mr. Oguike who is well known in the community expressed his happiness and thanked God for the humanitarian aid from Chief Dennis Ezeigbo. He also urged the beneficiaries to collect their own share of the money and leave immediately.
The Umuaka Times reporter who monitored the event confirmed that from all indications, Chief Dennis Ezeigbo successfully put smiles on the faces of many Umuawaha families in the community through this project. There were also some others from other kindreds that benefited from the palliative.
While speaking with Umuaka Times on phone on the success of the exercise, Chief Ezeigbo expressed happiness that the event was hitch-free and all the people who came were given their own share one after the other. He raised serious concerns and expressed deep shook when he was told that Afor Umuaka was still as electrifying as usual. He used the opportunity to appeal to both the government and the community to do the needful and address the issue of Afor Umuaka as soon as possible.
