2 min readSouth African based attorney, community integration activist, high profile Akalite and the president of Igbo Lawyers Association of South Africa ILASA, Chief Ugo Johnson Anyiam has sent his vote of thanks and appreciation to all those who attended the official inauguration and gala night of the organization held on 26 October 2024 at Johannesburg Country Club, Sandton.
In a press statement issued by Chief Anyiam who is the principal and chief consultant, Anyiam Attorneys Incorporated, Johannesburg, he sincerely thanked all the personalities especially those who flew in from Nigeria and other parts of the world in order to witness the epoch-making ceremony.
First, Chief Anyiam thanked Ambassador Alexander Temitope Ajayi for creating time out of his busy schedule to grace the occasion. He also thanked in a special way, Chief Mike Okwudiri who ably represented the Abia State Governor, Alex Oti. He further thanked him for a keynote address the governor presented during the ceremony.

Other people who were also appreciated for all their efforts during the event were the members of ILASA who according to the president, put up presence and commitment before, during and after the event.
Other people who were greeted for their role during the event were the management of the event centre where the inauguration took place and a host of others.
Umuaka Times reliably gathered that the membership of ILASA has reached 50 and membership is only open to lawyers based in South Africa. The organization will be holding a fresh election in 2026 when the tenure of Chief Anyiam must have come to an end.
