High profile Chief and top community leader from Umuezeala Umuele, Chief Ikenna Duru has issued a vote of thanks to all the persons who contributed in no small ways before, during and after the burial ceremonies of his late mother, the late Lady Louisa Ada Duru who was buried on April 5 2024 in her home town Umuele Amazano in Njaba LGA.
Speaking during the requiem Mass which was held at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church Umuele, the American based pharmacist first thanked the team of reverend fathers who numbered up to 20 that celebrated the Mass. He extended his greetings to the reverend sisters, the CWO, the choristers and all the members of the Umuele Catholic community.
Another group of persons mentioned in the vote of thanks was a group of royal fathers from Imo State who against all odds, personally made it to the ceremony.
Those who flew in from the United States, Canada, and Europe and some parts of Nigeria also got a huge pat on their backs.
He thanked the security organizations in Umuaka, NUT, Umuele community and a host of others too numerous to mention. He appealed to the people of the community especially Catholics to always remember the departed Christian mother in their daily prayers.
