2 min readHon Emma Izunwa, the councilor representing Ward 1Umuaka in Njaba LGA Imo State has worked for more than 20 months. Last week he issued the report card of how his performances so far. Please read below in his own words.
I want to state that in twenty months as an IMC member representing Umuaka Ward One, I have been able to accomplish some feat on my own. In June last year I had Best Farmers Competition and awarded prizes.
I have raised a lot money for the sick and poor who were in urgent need of assistance. I have organized easy competition in primary, secondary and high institutions and spent over N400,000 in all.
I have repaired bicycles for Windows and kept them fit within our locality and distributed over fifty wrappers to indigent widows and the less privileged.
I have notified the Government of the several challenges facing my ward and most of the challenges are receiving serious attention by now.
I also took over the High Landers FC of Uba as her team manager and won the Akunesiobike Memorial Cup. I also won the Sports Writers of the Year Award in 2020.
Under farming, I have distributed fertilizers and palliatives from the government. Through my diabetics foundation ,I have been able to help so many people subdue the challenges posed by diabetes. I have continued to procure free drugs for some diabetic patients known to me in my ward.
I was one of the people that brought High School Umuaka to its present site at Hilltop Primary School Umuaka.
I have chaired over peace meeting in Egwedu community. I am also the coordinator of Njaba councilors. I am the supervisor for Education in Njaba LGA. Finally, I also attracted rice distribution to Umuezikeoha by Pastor George Izunwa as well as cash distribution to poor widows.
Thanks.
