2 min readThe Education Students Association of Nigeria (ESAN) Imo State University Chapter has elected Miss Amb. John Chibuzor Miriam as the vice president-elect Faculty of Education Imo State University. Ambassador Chibuzor who personally confirmed the news to Umuaka Times today being February 13, 2022 disclosed that her victory was a landslide as she won 380 votes out of 400 votes that were cast during the election.
While answering questions from newsmen on Friday 11 February 2022 in Owerri last week, shortly after her victory was announced, Ambassador Chibuzor told newsmen that the zeal to occupy a political office has always been a part of her because it would afford her the opportunity to direct the academic and social affairs of her fellow students properly. On why students voted her massively during the voting exercise, she told newsmen that it was because the students have a deep rooted confidence in her ability and she therefore promised never to disappoint them. “I will use my good office to make sure that our students will get exactly what they deserve in terms of academics and other areas. Who much is given, much is also expected from her. I will never make our students regret voting me as their vice president.”
Meanwhile it has been jubilations and celebrations among the students of the Faculty of Education since last week over the elections. The students who displayed a high sense of maturity before, during and after the elections gave themselves a pass mark for a job well done.
