Amiyi Akah son set to be ordained a priest in Agbor.

The Order of Preachers (Dominicans) Provence of St Joseph the Worker both in Nigeria and Ghana with the collaboration of the family of Mr John Okechukwu Duru and late Mrs Victoria Duru has invited friends and well-wishers to the priestly ordination of their son and brother, Rev Emmanuel Chidozie Duru, OP.
In the press statement Umuaka Times received from a high profile family member, Dr Stephen Chidozie Duru, an expert of marine engineering, the colourful event will be held on Saturday 14 September 2024 at St Patrick’s Catholic Church Agbor-Obi in Agbor, Delta State. The event will kick off by 10 am on the eventful day. Umuaka Times also gathered from Dr Stephen Chidozie Duru that the ordination ceremony will be performed by His Lordship Most Rev. Dr Michael Odogwu Elue.
After the ordination which holds on Saturday 14 September 2024, the new priest will celebrate his first Mass at St Paul’s Catholic Church Amiyi Akah in Njaba LGA Imo State on Sunday September 22, 2024. The maiden Mass of the new priest has been fixed to hold from 10 am.
Shortly before press time last week, several individuals and groups from Amiyi Akah especially the Roman Catholic Church community have indicated their interest to attend the holy ceremony in Agbor Delta State.
