Just few days after the shocking discovery of a 4 year old Chikamso Nkemakolam from Amiyi Akah, who is suffering from a seriously swollen stomach which is known as prune belly syndrome, Umuaka Times has come across a similar case in Obeakpu. The baby who is about one year old is named Elijah Egbejimba.
When Umuaka Times visited the family last week, it was discovered that findings carried out so far show that the 13 month old baby is in dare need of an urgent medical attention.
Last week, Umuaka Times contacted Professor Kingsley Obioha for urgent medical advice on the case and he has so far advised the parents of the sick baby to seek more advanced medical attention.
As it stands now, little Elijah needs to undergo a corrective surgery which will cost around N2.5 million.
The parents of the little baby were in a seriously bad mood when they visited Umuaka Times last week over the condition of their son.
