Association of Nigerian Authors picks Akalite as secretary-general.

Mr Chimnemezu Nwaeze (Vinepaul), author, motivational speaker and a celebrated poet has been elevated to the office of the secretary-general of Association of Nigerian Authors Abuja branch. In a letter written on the letter headed paper of the Association of Nigerian Authors ANA, Abuja Chapter, which was signed by Lois Otse Adams, the chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the group, the letter reads, “The Abuja Chapter of Association of Nigerian Authors is expanding and it is expedient at this time to involve more good hands and vibrant brains.
The letter continued: “To this effect therefore, following your active membership, with the powers conferred on me as the chairman caretaker committee of the ANA Abuja and with the permission of the president, I have the honour to appoint you, Chimnaemezu Nwaeze (vinepaul) as Ag Secretary of the Caretaker Committee. Congratulations.”
In a brief interview with Umuaka Times, the new secretary-general described the appointment as an honour which comes with a lot of challenges. He promised to do his best to elevate the status of the organization in his capacity as the new secretary- general of ANA Abuja Chapter.
