BREAKING NEWS: Eze Obinwanne’s Grassroots Empowerment Program to hold on Dec.21.

All roads in Njaba LGA of Imo State will on Saturday December 21, 2024, lead to the Chukwujiekwu Palace of Obinwanne Umuaka Autonomous Community as the royal father of the community HRM Eze Justin Uzoma Ezeala marks the third edition of his yearly grassroots empowerment program. From the fillers Umuaka Times local affairs correspondents exclusively gathered from the Chukwujiekwu Palace, this year’s program promises to be something bigger and louder than the previous editions.
The focus area for the 2024 empowerment program is strictly for those the Obinwanne royal father described as the “poorest of the poor” from each of the ten autonomous communities in Umuaka Municipal Council otherwise known as Umuaka Ebe Iri. To achieve this charitable goal, the Eze Ndi Eze n’ Umuaka, HRH Eze Caesar Ugochukwu Duruegbusuo of Umuele Amazano Autonomous Community has been consulting with other royal fathers and PGs in Umuaka to ensure that each autonomous community provides the most authentic list of 10 indigenes from their communities classified under the “poorest of the poor” category. Umuaka Times which has been named as the media partners for the program has been empowered by the Obinwanne monarch to work with PGs and royal fathers as well as other stakeholders to verify the backgrounds of the nominees.
In a press statement issued by HRM Eze Justin Ezeala some hours ago which was made available to Umuaka Times, the royal father gives the following conditions and information regarding the big December show.
The event is billed to start by 9 am on Saturday December 21, 2024 at the Chukwujiekwu Palace of Obinwanne Umuaka Autonomous Community. Every autonomous community in Umuaka is expected to present 10 persons except Obinwanne community which will generally provide 130 persons where 10 persons from the “poorest of the poor” category will be provided in accordance with the 13 villages in the community.
All the presidents-general of Umuaka autonomous communities will also be specially recognized for their positive efforts in their individual community. Umuaka Times local affairs correspondents was reliably informed that yet to be named highly sizable packages have been set aside for the PGs as their Christmas gifts.
One of the highest segments of the event will be the royal appreciation of all the royal fathers in Njaba LGA on the same day. This segment will exclusively be performed by His Royal Majesty himself, Eze Justin Ezeala as he personally attends to his royal colleagues.
Highly dependable palace sources confirmed to Umuaka Times that attendance to this event is strictly for delegates from the nine autonomous communities in Umuaka except Obinwanne. Great emphasis has been placed on the “poorest of the poor” and an appeal has been passionately made to stakeholders to strictly observe this rule.
While holding talks with Umuaka Times on the event, the Eze Nwanne of Obinwanne disclosed thus: “As much as possible, those who have previously benefited from the last two empowerment programs by should be excluded unless they are the “poorest of the poor”.
The Onye Eze Obinwanne finally made a passionate appeal to his fellow royal fathers in Umuaka Municipal Council to ensure that also retreated that all the lists of the 9 Umuaka communities should reach Chukwujekwu Palace through Umuaka Times by Sunday, December 15, 2024. In his words, Eze Nwanne confirmed, “Umuaka Times being the official media partner of the event will be asked to verify and interview all or any recipient.”
