Breaking News: Louisa Njeoma Chimeka passes on. Burial date fixed on Nov. 15.

The Chimeka Family of Umudurunaoma Akachi Isiozi Akah has announced the passage of their mother, grandmother and amiable wife, the late Mrs. Louisa Njeoma Chimeka. According to the information contained in the press statement issued by the first son of the deceased, Chief Peter Ojilo Chimeka on behalf of the family which was made available to Umuaka Times local affairs correspondent in Owerri, the burial of the late Mrs Louisa Njeoma Chimeka who was a devote Christian mother has been fixed on Wednesday November 15, 2023 in her family compound of Isiozi Akah.

From the press statement, a Christian wakes night and service of songs have been fixed on Monday 14 November 2023 in the Chimeka family compound of Akachi Isiozi Akah in Njaba LGA Imo State. The Christian wakes night starts by 8 pm while service of songs and other Christian activities will follow later. Umuaka Times gathered that Christian mothers and fathers of Isiozi Akah, youths and family and friends from far and near will be present during the wakes night.

On Wednesday 15 November 2023, the remains of Mrs Louisa Njeoma Chimeka will leave the mortuary of Aladimma Hospital Owerri in a motorcade to her home town Isiozi Akah. This event will take place by 8 am. The deceased will lie in state for family and friends to pay their last respect till about 9:45 am when the motorcade will once again head to St Joseph’s Catholic Church Isiozi Akah for a requiem Mass for the repose of her soul.

By 12 mid-day, the body of the late Madam Louisa Njeoma Chimeka whose life on earth spanned for 82 eventful years will be interred to eternal glory. Entertainment of guests starts immediately after the internment in the family compound.

Umuaka Times gathered that the late woman of substance left a lot of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to mourn her. The list includes Chief Peter Ojilo Chimeka, first son, Mr Vincent Ojilo Chimeka (Latiffe), Mr Chima Ojilo Chimeka, Mr Leonard Ojilo Chimeka, Mrs Victoria Mma married at Ugbele Akah. Mrs Stella Iwuoha married at Umundugba and Miss Nkiruka Ojilo Chimeka, the last daughter and child.

Several activities have been lined up for the burial which include, another service of songs by the choir of St Joseph’s Catholic Church Isiozi Akah, traditional dances by women and many more activities numerous to mention.
