C.C. C.O.I.N. Plaza boasts commercial activities in Umuaka.
2 min readA newly built ultra-modern plaza along Umuaka Amaigbo Road located between Uba and Isiozi communities is seriously boasting and diversifying commercial activities in Umuaka, especially for those living in the locality. The commercial building which is known as C.C. C.O.I.N. Plaza has been providing express commercial services to those doing business in the building and their clients too.
By the time Umuaka Times local affairs correspondents paid an official visit to the well sited plaza last week, it was discovered that the whole shops in the building have almost been rented by businessmen and women. A closer look at the building shows that an electrical and engineering service providing firm as well as a haircut salon and more, have already begun doing their businesses at the plaza.
Prominent among the businesses Umuaka Times took notice of their existence at the ultra-modern plaza which is owned by Mr. Chris and Eziada Mrs. Chinwe Opara and family, is the famous Chi Chi Boutique. While coming from Uba side of the Umuaka Amaigbo Road, Chi Chi Women’s Boutique is the first shop (ground floor) by the right. In a chat with the workers of the boutique who spoke with Umuaka Times, the boutique went into full scale operations shortly before December 2023 and it has been doing very well.
Talking about the role the plaza has been playing since it was completed and opened last year, an engineer who also had a chat with Umuaka Times but refused to mention his name thanked the people behind the plaza. “You see, the people who built this beautiful plaza here have real business idea; instead of going all the way to Afor Umuaka to buy or seek any service, we now stop here, do our transactions and go back home,” he told Umuaka Times.
A security official from a nearby community while speaking with Umuaka Times during the visit also expressed deep satisfaction that the position where the plaza was built has helped to drive bad boys away to a certain extent, especially during the night.
Talking about the C.C. C.O.I.N. Plaza itself, it is a big commercial complex which has about 25 shops. The compound of the building was properly constructed with German floor with large parking spaces for customers. A commercial motorcycle operator who brought a customer to the plaza during the time of Umuaka Times’ visit to the plaza, appealed to other Akalites who have the capacity to embark on such projects to do so and bring developments to the grassroots.
