“Call me Ifunanya.” Jennifer Lopez.

1 min read

High class American actress and songwriter Jennifer Lopez has adopted an Igbo name of “Ifunanya” to her names. The adoption came during an interview the influential songwriter had with a Nigerian media personality Drea Okeke.

The suggestion came from Nigerian media personality Drea Okeke during a recent interview. Okeke who described Lopez as “a certified lover girl” maintained that the name seriously fits the actress as the name itself, means love.

Jennifer Lopez in her reaction accepted the name as her middle name. Okeke also went further and gave Lopez’s husband, Ben Affleck another Igbo name, Obim, which means My Heart. Again, the popular songwriter accepted the name saying, “Obim? I like that. I will call all my kids that.”
