Cele Agu mourns maternal grandfather

The Traditional Prime Minister of Obinanne Umuaka Autonomous Community Chief Celestine Agu, has described the death of his maternal grandfather, the late Sir Dominic Nganwuchu as a heavy pain in his heart. Chief Agu who disclosed this to Umuaka Times during the burial ceremony and rites of passage of the late Ngawuchu who was a Knight of St John in the Roman Catholic Church.

While chatting with an Umuaka Times reporter who visited the family during the burial, Chief Agu disclosed that it was the late Sir Ngawuchu who trained him in business during his apprenticeship years. “He made me what I am today. He is a man who invested his little resources in human capital development and today, he has trained a lawyer, doctor, engineer and more among his children.”

On the vacuum the death of the Sir Ngawuchu who was an Onitsha based businessman created, the Onowu seriously lamented that it would take a long time for the Obinwanne community to get such an amiable gentleman again. “Obinwanne is in agony over his death and it is only God that will intervene with his mercies. For me, it is like losing my father the second time.”

Agu appealed to Christians all over Umuaka to remember the family left behind by the late Christian father in their daily prayers.
