Sunday 28 July2024 was a great day in Amiyi Akah Autonomous Community Njaba LGA. The event which brought together Amiyi Akah Council of Chiefs, United Brothers of Amiyi, Umuakpuru Diaspora, Ndiuhu women, Amiyi chairmen and secretaries of villages, Ndihu men and women, and Umuada Amiyi Akah was the bringing home of the chieftaincy title of Chief Ambrose Okorie Ugochukwu, the Ikukuoma 1 of Amiyi Akah.

Chief Ugochukwu who is also the Odi Uko Na Mba 1 of Acharaji Akah and the Ozo Igbo Ndu 1 of Mozambique had indeed prepared well for the great event in all ramifications.

By the time Umuaka Times arrived at the event, many guests were already seated and the live band which graced the event was busy playing and entertaining the guests.

After the opening prayer which was conducted by the two masters of the ceremony, the next thing that followed was the presentation of kola nuts by Chief Ugochukwu and his wife. As usual, the kola nuts were blessed and passed around from one canopy to another.

After about an hour of two when the event fully kicked off, the Ikukuoma 1 of Amiyi Akah and his amiable wife came out and exchanged pleasantries with their guests as they moved from one canopy to another. In each canopy they arrived, the guests cheered them up and they responded with joy.

The Amiyi Akah Council of Chiefs which was the backbone of the ceremony sat in the living room of Ikukuoma where they had a close door discussion with her host, Chief Ambrose Okorie Ugochukwu.

When Umuaka Times correspondents who covered the event had time to hold talks with Chief Ambrose Okorie Ugochukwu and his wife, the couple expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the success of the event. They also used the opportunity and appealed to the youths in Umuaka to employ the spirit of patience while handling the life affairs. They specifically told the youths to work hard in their chosen careers and occupations because hard work pays handsomely at last.
