Chief Eze Dons Obi set to bury mother in-law on Dec. 19.

Chief Eze Dons Obi, the Obinganga 1 of Akahland and Eze Di Gbuo the second of Ugbele Akahhas announced the burial of his mother in-law, the late Mrs Ezinne Appolonia Malu Nnozirim. According to the family sources that spoke with Umuaka Times, the burial of the late Ezinne will hold on December 19, 2025 at her husband’s compound, Umuokere Amiyi Akah.
A statement from the family sources disclosed that Chief Eze Dons Obi and his family members will lead his people of Umulolo Ugbele, friends and well-wishers to the burial ceremony.
Meanwhile the family of the late Ezinne Appolonia Malu Nnozirim (nee Asodike) has released the burial program as follows:Christian Wake Keep: Thursday, December 18, 2025. Time is 8pm at her husband’s compound, Umuokere Amiyi Akah.
Funeral Procession: Friday, December 19, 2025 her remains leave Umuguma General Hospital Owerri to Umuokere Amiyi Akah in a motorcade. Lying in State holds on the same day at the same venue from 8:30am – 9am
Funeral Mass is on Friday, December 19, 2025, 10am – 11:30am at St Paul’s Catholic Church Amiyi Akah.
Interment will follow immediately after the Mass by 12 midday at her husband’s compound. First outing Mass service holds on Sunday, December 21, 2025 by 10am at St Paul’s Catholic Church Amiyi Akah.
The late Ezinne Appolonia Malu Nnozirim was a devoted CWO member and respected community leader who passed away at 90. She leaves behind her children, grandchildren, and a host of other family members and relations among whom is Engineer Basilia Onyinyechi Obi, the Lolo Okaka 1 of Akahland.
