Chief Ikwubuo calls for leadership committee in Umuaka.

High profile chief and a chieftain of the ruling APC in Imo State, Hon Eddy Ikwubuo has called on Umuaka stakeholders to set up a leadership assistance committee that will work with Umuaka based groups and leaders and workout holistic political solutions in the community.
Hon Ikwubuo who is a high chief and a former chairman of Njaba LGA, disclosed this while holding talks with Umuaka Times correspondents in Owerri last week during an exclusive interview.
According to the controversial politician, Umuaka needs a think-tank that will create a synergy with the royal fathers, councilors, presidents-general and pave ways for the community to embrace socio-political and economic developments.
“You see what I mean; this group will be made up of great thinkers of Umuaka origin. They will formulate a master plan for Umuaka development and pass the plan to the leaders of the community at all levels for proper and prompt implementations.”
Asked to explain how the membership of the body will be constituted, Chief Ikwubuo confirmed that each village in Umuaka Municipal Council will present about 3 of her best and brightest youthful brains to join the think-tank. “It is this body that will draw the plans for the community and the leaders of the community will then implement the plans.”
On a similar development, High Chief Ikwubuo used the opportunity and thanked Mazi Iwuaku Iwuchukwu, the founder and president of Umuaka Charity Foundation and all the members of of the group for their program to empower 100 youths in the community. He appealed to Akalites to generously donate towards the project and make Umuaka a crime-free society.
