Chief Julius Ukasoanya marks daughter’s birthday, confirms chieftaincy title.
2 min readYoung businessman and a stakeholder in Obinwanne Umuaka Autonomous Community Chief Julius Ukasoanya (the Mmirioma 1 of Obinwanne) on Saturday December 28, 2024 marked the birthday celebration of his daughter little Miss Julius Chizaram and the confirmation of his chieftaincy title as the Mmirioma (good water) 1 of Obinwanne Umuaka. The royal father of the community HRM Eze Justin Uzoma Ezeala was the royal father who confirmed the chieftaincy title.
The event which was originally billed to hold in Unity Primary School Obinwanne was later shifted to the compound of the new chieftaincy title holder Chief Julius Ukasoanya due to some certain reasons.
Around 1 pm, guests from far and near had started to grace the occasion in their large numbers. Soon after, Chief Abamara Agu, the MC of the event took the microphone and welcomed everybody and later introduced the chiefs and their lolos who were present at the event.
As it is done in every occasion in the locality, an opening prayer was said and it was Chief Julius Igboeche that led the prayer. Presentation of kola nuts was the next item that was taken from the program of events. A former chairman of Njaba LGA Chief Obodoshia was was present during the event was called to bless the kola nuts. After the blessing, the kola nuts were shared among the guests.
At this juncture, the MC announced that it was time to welcome the man of the moment Chief Julius Ukasoanya and his wife to the event. In few minutes time, the couple danced from their house to the compound where the guests were seated as everyone cheered them up. Several people stood up from their chairs and joined them in the celebration.
Time for light refreshments was the next item the MC called for but as that was about to happen, words came to the him that the royal father of the community, HRM Eze Justin Ezeala was around. Umuaka Times reporters who were covering the event could sight the royal father walking in with his cabinet members and some other notable personalities of Obinwanne. In about 2 minutes’ time, everybody was on his or her feet just to welcome the amiable royal father. Chief Celestine Agu, the Ekwembiriba of Umuaka and the Traditional Prime Minister took the microphone and conducted the traditional greeting to the king. After the greetings, everybody sat down and the event continued in another phase.
Kola nuts, drinks etc were served to the royal father and his men. As a royal father so much admired by his people and others, high profile personalities who were at the event kept on coming to greet and thank him for making it possible to attend the event.
The celebrations continued until the time the Onye Eze went to the arena to appreciate the new chief and his lolo. He also appreciated other communities present at the event.
