Chief Kachi Obi calls for unity among Akalites in diaspora.

German based Akalite and an UgbeleAkah born businessman Chief Onyekachi Obi, the OzoGidigbamGidigbam 1 of UgbeleAkah has appealed to Akalites in diaspora to unite for a common goal and help to develop Umuaka town. The UgbeleAkah Chief popularly known as Kachi Obi disclosed this while addressing some Umuaka Times correspondents from his base in Germany.

According to Obi, there are several challenges in Umuaka community today and each of the challenges has its own chain reactions and ripple effects. “The people at home cannot do it alone and they need us as we need them too. That is why I am appealing to Akalites who live outside Nigeria to form formidable Umuaka unions in where they live and protect and develop our community.”

Chief Obi specifically called on Akalites living in the Americas and African countries such as Ghana, Angola and Southern African blocs to form a synergy and connect with Akalites at home for proper development.

“If you look around today, Igboland is in real trouble and the trouble may not come to an end anytime soon. Our people need to unite and proffer solutions on how to move on especially in terms of security and assistance to each other.”

On the above note, the OzoGidigbamGidigbam appealed to Akalites living outside the country, especially those who were yet to identify with their brothers to do that immediately and join their unions. “It helps when you join forces with your brothers because unity is strength.” Chief Obi used the opportunity to pray for and congratulate his fellow Akalites who live in Germany over the achievements they have recorded over the years.
