2 min readThe Amazano born Chief D.O Onyenero who holds the title of Eze Di Oha Mma 1 of Amazano has charged Igbo parents especially those in Umuaka Municipal Council to start taking charge and full responsibility over the moral training of their children. The chief who strongly condemned the criminal attitude of today’s children seriously lamented that if nothing tangible is done in the community, people, especially those within us will continue to refer to us as bad people. “Umuaka is a good place with good name. It is very bad that many criminals from other towns have gone a long way to bring our name into disrepute.”
Chief Onyenero who is also the Agu Neche Ndi Igbo in Ajeromi LGA Lagos and one of the patrons of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Lagos State chapter, vehemently displayed his displeasure over parents of today who have refused to teach their children the right paths of life. “We love our children but we should not allow our love for them to blindfold us.”
When Umuaka Times reminded him that many parents have given up on their children because the children no longer adhere to the instructions from their parents, he took such parents to task and advised them never to give up because each child has the spirit of God in him or her. “One day the spirit of God in them will move them to listen to their parents and follow the right path.”
On the Christmas activities which will be celebrated in the next three months, Onyenero advised youths to better play their cards very well in order to enjoy many more Christmas celebrations in future than to go with the 2021 Christmas to eternity.
