Chief Sokondo’s wedding bells gather momentum.

An Njaba born PDP stalwart and top community leader, Chief Ugochukwu Chimmamkpa Uju popularly known as Sokondo has set aside Wednesday 4th January 2023 for his historic and much publicized wedding.
Chief Sokondo disclosed this to Umuaka Times in Owerri last week when the newspaper called on him. From what Umuaka Times gathered, the Church service for the wedding will hold at Holy Rosary Catholic Parish Umuele Amazano Njaba LGA Imo State.
The wedding which is expected to draw a lot of prominent men and women including top politicians in Imo State especially the chieftains of PDP will have its reception held at the State Primary School field (St. Mathew’s Anglican Parish) Umuele, immediately after the church service.
Chief Sokondo who has been making frantic efforts over the weeks towards the successful hosting of his wedding hails from the family of the late Nnaoma Vincent Nwazuonu Uju Ikekwere of Umuele Amazano while his wife, Lolo Ifeoma Lillian Ekileonyeonwu is from the family of Chief Lawrence Ekilonyeonwu of Umuele Ezioha Eziama Obiato Mbaitoli LGA Imo State.
As at last week, several groups both in and outside Umuaka which the couple, Chief Sokondo and his wife belong to, have been properly informed by the couple. The church wedding event has been christened Chief Sokondo 2023.
