Uba Umuaka born high profile Akalite, attorney and businessman based in the United States, Chief Chris Nwachukwu has added his voice to the league of Akalites calling for the need for each community in Umuaka to fortify itself with a competent security team.
Chief Nwachukwu who recently announced a donation of over N4 million shortly before the inauguration of Umuezikoha Uba Neighbourhood Watch, stated that the need for each community in Umuaka to come up with her own formidable security outfit is now.
This advocacy, in the views of Chief Nwachukwu who holds multiple chieftaincy titles in Igboland will enhance security activities in each community and fight crimes and juvenile delinquencies to a large extent if properly implemented.
It can be recalled that Umuaka Times newspapers and many other prominent stakeholders in Umuaka Municipal Council have consistently called upon all the communities in Umuaka to establish their own independent security organizations and watch over their towns and environs. Dr Nwachkwu while discussing with Umuaka Times recently outlined the need for each community in Umuaka to have her own neighborhood watch.
“There are remarkable evidences on the ground that village community security outfits are performing very well in their different communities. There is a need for others to follow and build more on that. Akah Ebe Iri security is doing well but it can never cover the whole of Umuaka at once for certain reasons.”
