An Ibele born youth and an advocate of social change, Mr Chidi Obi has described Mr Benji Iheme as a big asset to the Ibele youths and the entire community at large. Chidi Obi who has been a witness and beneficiary of several programs Mr Iheme has put up in the community told Umuaka Times that over the years, Mr Iheme has always invited the Ibele youths to his country home for the purposes of building their capacities.
Obi told Umuaka Times that several men, women and youths in Ibele community have benefited from the benevolence of Mr Benji Iheme through those he placed on salaries, those he gave soft loans and those he has supported through one way or another.
“Dee Benji is someone who believes in the welfare of not only the youths but everyone. He has really helped our people in no small ways over the years.” Obi further confirmed to Umuaka Times that Mr Iheme has spent a better part of his personal income to helping the needy in the community especially widows and those whose businesses are yet to pick up.
Trying to drive his points home during the interactive session Mr Iheme had with the Ibele youts, Chidi Obi aptly put it thus: “Today, you can see that all the youths who came here learnt one thing or another and they are all happy. That is how it has always been with our big Uncle. He feels restless if he has not given support to the needy.”
Chidi Obi while concluding his interview with Umuaka Times, thanked Mr Iheme and asked God to continue to bless and protect him and his entire family, businesses and activities. He used the opportunity and charged the youths to emulate the virtues of people like Mr Benji Iheme.
