Diamond Princess Academy, a private nursery, primary and secondary school located in Umuaka Njaba LGA Imo State has concluded another remarkable term, showcasing its commitment to academic excellence, cultural diversity and holistic developments. Umuaka Times local affairs correspondents confirmed that the school’s vibrant community recently came together to celebrate various events and achievements. The school’s daily affirmation sessions have reportedly been a huge success, boosting students’ confidence and self-esteem. It was gathered last week that students and teachers alike have benefited from these sessions, which set a positive tone for the day.

The school’s Cultural Day celebration which was marked a few weeks ago was a vibrant display of Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage. During the event, students showcased their talents through traditional dances, music and fashion, promoting unity and appreciation for diverse backgrounds.

Umuaka Times also confirmed that the inter-class learning competition of the school was intense, with students demonstrating their knowledge and skills in various subjects to the admiration of their teachers and parents. The winning class received prizes and recognition, encouraging healthy rivalry and a passion for learning among the students.

Diamond Princess Academy which also promotes talent clubs has reportedly been doing very well on this particular area. Speaking with Umuaka Times correspondents last week, Mr Anyanwu Ik. Bright, the Vice Principal and Head of Administration disclosed to Umuaka Times that the program has been thriving since the school came into operations a few months ago. According to the young vice principal of the school, Diamond Princess Academy has successfully been providing students with opportunities to develop their skills in areas such as music, art, drama, debate and more. These clubs have in return continued to build confidence and showcase talents of students.

Another area the school has been doing very well is the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics otherwise known as STEM and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) practical sessions. Umuaka Times gathered that Diamond Princess Academy has been engaging with students learning cutting-edge technologies like coding and robotics. These hands-on experiences are hopefully expected to prepare the students for the digital age and equip them with problem-solving skills.

Perhaps the Diamond Princess Academy is the only school within the locality that embarks on career exhibitions. Just recently, a career exhibition was held at the banquet hall of the school, featuring professionals from various fields who shared their experiences and insights with students in an interactive session. The vice principal disclosed to Umuaka Times that “the exhibition helped students explore potential career paths and understand the requirements for success”.

In his conclusion, the vice principal finally told Umuaka Times reporters that the school has been doing well and will continue to do so.

“Diamond Princess Academy continues to uphold its tradition of excellence, providing students with a well-rounded education and opportunities to develop their talents and interests. We are proud of our students’ achievements and look forward to more successes in the future.”
