2 min readDr Austin Chidera Agbahiwe is perhaps an academic super brat created to always win awards in the academia. Just as Umuaka Times went to the press last week with the list of awardees for 2022, words came to the newspaper that Dr Agbahiwe Jr, who is the youngest male recipient of Umuaka Times awards for 2022, has again emerged the Overall Best House Officer from the Department of Internal Medicine University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital for the year 2022.
Further findings made by Umuaka Times showed that the award was presented to Dr Agbahiwe Jr “for his outstanding, performance and dedication to duty”.
When Umuaka Times engaged the young doctor to explain properly what the award meant, he responded saying, “it means that of all the first year doctors from the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital in 2022, I am the best.”
Agbahiwe Jr who is full of joy and life has since received his award a couple of days ago has been thankful to God for his mercies. He thanked his parents, siblings and all the persons who played a vital role in his life.
Chidera Agbahiwe has won several awards as a student including, Founder’s Award for First Class in First Year Examinations (2015).
