Dr Simon Iberosi elected Walden Social Change Fellow.
2 min readDr. Simon Iberosi, a native of Uba Umuaka, has been elected a Walden Social Change Fellow by the prestigious Walden University in the United States of America. This esteemed position includes awarding a grant directed towards a specified area, as agreed upon by both parties.
According to a letter signed by Lisa Pertillar-Brevard, Ph.D., Lead Fellow and Director of Walden University Center for Social Change, and Laura Lynn, Ph.D., Dean of the Office of Research & Doctoral Services, the grant is intended to facilitate Dr. Iberosi’s study titled “Environmental Corporate Social Responsibility Reporting as a Strategic Imperative of Nigerian Multinational Oil Companies’ Business Sustainability.”
The Research and Applications for Social Change Grant (RASCG) serves as one of the criteria for selecting Walden Social Change Fellows, highlighting the rigorous nature of the selection process. Consequently, upon receiving this grant, Dr. Iberosi is automatically enrolled as a Walden Social Change Fellows Program (SCFP) member. Fellows are expected to conduct their proposed research or applied project and engage in SCFP activities, as outlined in the program guidelines provided within the RASCG proposal request.
While speaking with our correspondent in an interview, Dr. Iberosi expressed his gratitude for the grant and membership of the SCFP, emphasizing the importance of determination and perseverance in his doctoral journey. He views the grant as validating his contributions to social change efforts and is inspired to continue making a difference in the world.
