Dr Uche Oguike gives vote of thanks.

Before the requiem Mass for the late Attorney Henry Oguike came to an end on Friday 29 October 2021, the parish priest, St Mary’s Catholic Church Umuaka, called for a vote of thanks from a member of the Oguike family. The UK based medical scientist and an elder brother of the late Henry Oguike, Dr Uche Oguike stood up from his seat and went straight to the alter and the microphone was handed over to him. He first thanked the Parish Priest and his assistant parish priest, members of the Altar Boys Club otherwise known as Mass Servants and a host of others who came for the requiem Mass.
“I want to thank you people immensely for leaving all your activities today to come and stand with our family over the death of my younger brother. This is a testimony that his death pained everyone of you.”
Dr Oguike went further to appeal to the congregation to still make out time to escort them home to complete the final tribute to his younger brother. He further prayed to God to lead every person home safely to his and her respective home at the close of the burial ceremony.
