Ekwunazu couple commends Amiyi Akah for successful fundraising in America.

US based Akalite, top community leader, politician, pharmacist and high profile businessman Dr Perry kwunazu and his wife have commended and congratulated Amiyi Akah community in USA for the launching of USD350,000 hospital project. The Ekwunazu couple disclosed this to the Umuaka Times correspondents in America last week after the successful conduct of the event.
In a brief chat with Umuaka Times, Dr Ekwunazu disclosed that the event was a “special who is who in Amiyi Akah in America”. He confirmed that many other dignitaries from other parts of Nigeria were also present during the colourful event.
The couple used the opportunity and thanked all the people who took their time to attend the event despite their top schedules for the day. When Umuaka Times asked him if the money realized from the fundraising would be judiciously spent, he confirmed that he has confidence in the handlers of the project that the money will be spent for the purpose of the fundraising.
The Amiyi Akah Federal Union USA branch held her national convention and fundraising project with the purpose of raising the sum of USD350, 000. The purpose of the fundraising was to gather financial strength for a huge project to enable the community finance her healthcare project in Amiyi Akah.
Umuaka Times correspondents in America who covered the event disclosed that the event was graced by high profile sons and daughters of the community and others from other parts of Umuaka, Imo State and beyond.
