Emelong Foundation completes projects at Riverside school.
2 min readChief Emeka Ibegbulem, the founder and the Executive Director of Emelong Foundation had a brief interview with Umuaka Times last week. In the interview, the German based top executive director and the Ochiriozuo 1 of Isiozi Autonomous Community, disclosed to the general public that his foundation, which has been carrying out some facelift and rehabilitation projects at the Riverside Primary School Isiozi for some years now, has successfully completed its works at the school. According to him, his foundation has spent over 50 million Naira in the school and has made the school to wear a new look.
When Umuaka Times visited the school recently, the newspaper discovered that the Emelong Foundation has been able to complete the following projects.
1. Ultra modern refectory where over 350 pupils get free lunch once a day during school section. 2. Borehole water supply which is powered by ultra modern solar system. 3. Building and completion of 4 classroom blocks with ultra modern toilet facilities for both males and female pupils superlatively. 4. Renovation of all the school buildings with today’s modern facilities. 5. Roofing of 4 massive school buildings with modern system of aluminum roofing zinc. 6. Equipping the whole school classrooms with furniture and newest modern dashboards. 7. Changing of all broken and wooden doors and windows to metal doors and windows. 8. Ceiling of the whole buildings in the school. 9. Painting the whole school buildings with ultra modern and unique designs. 10. Installation of latest solar system that powers the borehole system and the electricity.
Despite all these, Chief Ibegbulem confirmed that the feeding program which Emelong Foundation for the pupils will continue. He finally thanked the royal father of the community, HRH Eze Victor Ijeoma and the Catholic Priest of St Joseph’s Catholic Church and others who contributed in one way or another towards the success of the projects his foundation has established in the school.
