Eze Ojinnaka mourns Barry White.
2 min readThe royal father of Umuaka community of Njaba LGA Imo State, HRH Eze Henry Ojinnaka has expressed shock over the sudden death of Chief Anthony Chima Eriri known as Barry White. Eze Ojinnaka who was one of the dignitaries who attended the burial ceremony of the late Barry White over the weekend spoke with Umuaka Times in a brief interview during the burial of the late Chief Eriri in Umuezikoha Uba last week.
According to the representations made by the royal father, he and his entire cabinet and the Umuezikoha Council of Chiefs received the sad news of the the death of Chief Eriri a couple of weeks ago with shock. He went further to describe the death of Chief Eriri as very painful to the family, friends, well-wishers and several organizations left behind by the gentleman.
Eze Ojinnaka used the opportunity and appealed to the whole people left behind by Chief Eriri to bear the loss with renewed faith in God. He further disclosed to Umuaka Times that the need for people to live upright life and amend their ways was necessary as no one knows when the final whistle would be sounded by God.
In his own words, Eze Ojinnaka said. “It was God that gave us the gift of life and it was the same God that took back the gift when it pleased him. We should not kill ourselves.”
It can be recalled that during the burial last week of Chief Eriri, Eze Ojinnaka was a part of the mourners who visited the bereaved family and also took part in the requiem Mass service at St Mary’s Catholic Church.
