The family of Okoro Ikegwuoha of Ndiuhu Uba Umuaka has announced the burial date of the matriarch of the family, the late Ezinne (Mrs) Christiana C. Okoro Ikegwuoha (nee Madu). This information was contained in a press statement which was signed by Bro Austin Okoro and made available to Umuaka Times by Chief Livinus Madu, the Ikpa Ahuru Dike the third of Umuele Amazano.
According to the press statement, the late Ezinne will be buried on Wednesday 22 January 2025 in her husband’s compound in Ndiuhu Uba Umuaka.
Umuaka Times gathered that a wake keep and service of songs have been slated to hold in the compound by 8pm on Tuesday 21 January 2025. Family and friends as well as well-wishers are expected during this all night program.
On Wednesday 22 January 2025, at exactly 8 am, the remains of the late Mrs Christiana Okoro Ikegwuoha will leave the mortuary in a motorcade to her husband’s place in Uba Umuaka. Lying in state commences immediately the time her remains arrive home. This segment will begin by 9am.
Funeral Mass which will begin by 10 am is slated to hold at St Mary’s Catholic Parish Umuaka.
The thanksgiving Mass by the family will hold on Sunday 26 January 2025.
The late Ezinne (Mrs) Christiana C. Okoro Ikegwuoha (nee Madu) was a devote Christian mother of Roman Catholic faith. She died at the age of 78 years.
