FA Cup: Eburuaja FC gathers more support.

The Father Eburuaja FC of Umuaka which is among the two football clubs representing Imo State in the ongoing FA Cup tournament has continued to receive accolades, praises and support from well-meaning Nigerians and Akalites especially. For about two weeks now, an appeal fund was opened in order to gather support for the club towards the heavy soccer task the club faces in the FA tournament.
A copy of the list of donors who have in one way or another supported the club was made available to Umuaka Times last week where it was discovered that both individuals and corporate bodies have sent in their financial support to encourage the team.
Within the last week also, Umuaka Times released a video documentary about the Eburuaja FC which went viral immediately. In the documentary, the editor of the newspaper, the coaches, captain of the FC and a top community leader, Chief Louis Duru used the opportunity to passionately appeal to those who have not identified with the club to come to their aid.
After watching the documentary, Rev Father Emmanuel Eburuaja thanked Umuaka Times for a work well done.
Strong indications emerged last week from certain quarters that the Eburuaja FC may bring the FA Cup to Umuaka.
