Family and friends celebrate Chief Chika Duru as Umuaka Times bestows a merit award on her.

It was a big celebration yesterday Saturday January 3 2026 as a group of women who came to the headquarters of Chikk International Production Limited Amiyi to honour a woman of substance whom honour is due, Chief Chika Igolo Duru, the moving spirit behind of Chikk International Production Limited and Amiyi Akah Football Club. Chief Chika Duru who has created job opportunities in Umuaka through her entrepreneurial acumen was one of the 50 most influential Akalites who made it to the Umuaka Times Who is Who Merit Award Diamond Edition for the year 2025.

Duru eminently qualified for the award as someone who has created positive changes in her community through her social works and the financial assistance she has rendered to the poor and the community in the last few years.

Umuaka Times arrived at the corporate head office of Chikk International Production Limited by 2:15 pm to present her with the merit award. Accompanied by Chief Louis Duru, an illustrious son of the community, the digital CEO came out in the company of her senior staff members to welcome the Umuaka Times team. The team moved to the conference hall of the company where several women who dressed in a white top respectively were already waiting.

In few minutes time, kola nuts were served and Chief Louis Duru took the microphone and announced the mission of the visiting Umuaka Times team.  After a brief citation, the Umuaka Times Who is Who Merit Award 2025 Diamond Edition was handed over to the awardee Chief Chika Igolo Duru, an industrialist, a woman of substance and a social builder.
