Famous women leader Mrs Caroline Amabem dies at 64.
2 min readFamous women leader, businesswoman and a devout Christian mother, Mrs Caroline Adaegwu Amabem (nee Chukwuezi) has died. Mrs Amabem lived for 64 eventful years where she took a better part of her life to serve God and humanity. Mrs Caroline Amabem was married by the late Mr Lawrence Amabem of Umuisii Umuezealal Uba Umuaka in Njaba LGA Imo State.
In a press statement issued and signed by the first son of the family, Mr chinedu Vincent Amabem, on behalf of his siblings, their mother, Mrs Caro Amabem died on April 6, 2022 while receiving treatment at St Mary’s Hospital Umuowa Imo State.
The press statement which a copy of it was made available to Umuaka Times, disclosed that Mrs Amabem would be buried on May 20, 2022 in the family compound in Umuisii Umuezealal Uba Umuaka. Before the burial commences, a Christian wakes night has been fixed on the night of May 19 still in the family compound in Umuezealal Uba.
On 20 May 2022, the remains of Mrs Caroline Amabem will leave Umuaka Community Hospital’s mortuary in a motorcade by 8 am to the Amabem compound in Umuezealal Uba. By 8:30 am, body lies in-state for family, well wishers and various groups she belonged to, to pay their last respect. By 10 am, a requiem Mass follows at St Mary’s Catholic Church Umuaka while by 12 midday, interment follows at the Amabem family compound.
The late Mrs Caroline Amabem was born in 1958 and she is survived by her four children and a host of grandchildren and other family members. Umuaka Times sympathizes with the bereaved family.
