G-87, Uba community mourn as ChinwenduOkoro dies at 56.

For some time now, the mood in UbaUmuaka among family and friends who knew Mr Austin ChinwenduOkoro has been an atmosphere of shock, sadness, and collective grief. Everyone is deeply stunned by the sudden loss of the young man in his prime as people still struggle to come to terms with the unexpected tragedy.
Following what Umuaka Times gathered from reliable family sources, the death of the late Okoro took place in the early hours of May 22nd 2025 in Lagos.
Late Mr Austin ChinwenduOkoro until his sudden death was an active member and worker at Christian Pentecostal Mission CMP, Lagos. This position afforded him the opportunity to serve in the following capacities: Jesus Foundation Class where he was the HOD. He also served as a Sunday school teacher as well as a zonal coordinator for the parish.
Above all these, the late Okoro served as the Chairman of Orlu Senatorial Believers’ Association, OSBA and as a former chairman PTA Babcock University High School Ajangbadi Lagos. He also belonged to G-87 Old Boys’ Association of High School Umuaka.
A press statement from the family notified the general public and all the concerned groups that a Christian wake-keep has been scheduled to hold on Thursday July, 24, 2025 at his residence in Lagos.
Before his interment which comes up on Friday August 8, 2025, a Christian wake-keep will hold on Thursday August 7, 2025 by 8 pm in his residence at NdiuhuUbaUmuaka.
The late Mr Austin ChinwenduOkoro was survived by his wife and children.
