Glasgow City Councillorship: Dr Udochukwu thanks supporters.
2 min readDr Udochukwu Kings Nwaokorobia, a high profile Akalite based in the United Kingdom who stood for the councillorship election in the Glasgow City Council has sent a vote of thanks to all his party members and supporters who showed maximum support for him during his campaign and electioneering days.
Umuaka Times learnt from her correspondent in the United Kingdom that Dr Udochukwu came 5th under the ALBA Party in the election which was held on May 5 ,2022.
In his message to his supporters, Udochukwu took time to passionately express his gratitude for all the people who worked with him, campaigned for him and eventually voted for him. He admitted that the election did not go the way it was expected but he saw it as having provided the opportunity for him to be known and accepted by his political party and others.
For those who do not know Dr Udochukwu very well, during his campaign days, Umuaka Times wrote: “Those who know Dr Udochukwu very well can testify that he is not new in the game of politics. About 10 years ago, he joined the Scottish National Party and has served in different capacities meritoriously before moving on to ALBA Party. While in Nigeria, the geneticist and biomolecular medicine specialist was a former SUG welfare officer at the University of Calabar and a former president of Umuaka Students Union. He was also the former vice president Njaba Students Association when Hon Emeka Ihenacho, the current chairman of Njaba LGA was the president. Currently, Dr Udochukwu is the admin of Umuele Amazano.”
